Kevin Peternel, SPHR

Kevin has more than 20 years of Human Resources experience working in senior management positions at mid-sized manufacturers and advising clients as a consultant and HR Strategist since 2004.  He also has past corporate experience as Interim Plant Manager, Vice-President of Administration and Vice-President of Customer Relations for an $80M manufacturer.

Kevin has served in various civic organizations, including local Chambers of Commerce, the Salvation Army and the United Way of Northern Rock County. He is a past executive committee member of the Jefferson County Human Resource Management Association. Kevin is also a past recipient of the Rock County YWCA Volunteer of the Year award.  He is currently Secretary of the Janesville Noon Rotary Club.

Currently an adjunct faculty member at Upper Iowa University teaching various HR and Small Business courses, Kevin has also taught SPHR/PHR Certification classes at UW-Madison. He is a polished presenter having addressed numerous organizations and audiences including the Jamaica Employers Federation and Wisconsin SHRM conference attendees.

Kevin holds a B.A. in Psychology, with minors in Communication and Sociology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations, all conferred by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
